Experiment with Low Light and Long Exposure
During the festive Raya break, my time was predominantly occupied with spending quality moments with family and visiting relatives' homes. However, during the evenings when I had some free time on my hands, I took the opportunity to engage in photography. Armed with a tripod, I chose to capture long exposure shots near a window or in the pool/public area at my aunt's place.
Long exposure photography involves allowing more light to enter the camera sensor, resulting in a balanced exposure. However, it also increases the likelihood of blurriness in the photos. To counter this, I relied on the tripod to maintain stability throughout the duration of the open shutter. I took numerous photos in pursuit of achieving the desired style, continually experimenting to refine my technique and achieve the aesthetic I envisioned.
The pool/public areas offered a captivating ambiance with low lighting conditions, characterized by scattered small lights illuminating specific areas. I took advantage of this environment to create visually appealing low-light compositions and further explore the capabilities of my camera.
