A morning walk around Taman Botanical Garden on 23rd January 2023. I was probably the only one that walked around the park with a mirrorless camera in my hand. Capturing the flora and fauna around the area does help with mental health and make myself calm from starting a new career.
For the past years I have been taking photographs of my friends. It has been a good experience to try to capture other people’s beauty from the lens. A lot of experimentation, and trial and error over the years has been done to improve my photoshoot skills.
At the staircase, they have colourful lights that light up the night and it follows the music as it plays. It was really difficult to make the photo clear and clean with an amazing shot. To capture such photos, the photographer is required to have some understanding in regards to lights, and reflection of light to produce any kind of clear photos in low light situations. Experiment is required to have proper exposure by balancing aperture, shutter speed and ISO, as well as make sure the ISO was not high to reduce chances of noises.

I have been in this area at night. It was lively at night due to many food stalls, restaurants, bars and pubs being open with people enjoying their time and company. In the morning, most shops, bars and pubs are closed. It was less lively and not many people were around. It was calm.
Exploring Dataran Merdeka like a tourist. Walk around without a planned path. Walking alone helps in observing my surroundings better and seeing things that I would rarely see.
Petaling Street is one of those locations which shows different worlds during the day and night. During the day, everything seems calm and bright. Feel a sense of somewhat safety when exploring the alleys in the area.
Street photography around Kuala Lumpur. Walking alone does help increase my awareness of my surroundings and help me to be creative.

On January 13th, 2022, I embarked on a photowalk, commencing my journey from Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur, heading towards KLCC, and concluding at Bukit Bintang, also in Kuala Lumpur.
Having refrained from exploring Kuala Lumpur with my camera for a significant period, this photowalk provided me with a long-awaited opportunity to rekindle my passion. It allowed me to engage in skill-building, honing my abilities, and nurturing the creative facets of my mind. Engaging in this activity proved to be instrumental in managing my mental well-being, especially considering the challenges I had faced in the preceding months.
